As we know, the original founder of Girl Scouts of the USA was Juliette Gordon Low. All her life, she wanted a movement where girls could join their own unique passions and ideas into anything they wanted. Many girls may not know what their passions are at first, and that's where their friends, leaders, and the Girl Scouts community help inspire them and encourage them to discover who they are.

Girl Scouts was created to bring girls together, to give them a safe space to explore new adventures, build confidence, create their own stories, and learn responsibility within their own lives. The program provides life lessons that help prepare girls for the future and empower them to make a positive difference in the world.

Juliette Gordon Low's legacy continues to live on through the millions of girls who have been shaped by the Girl Scouts experience. She believed that girls deserved the same opportunities as boys and worked tirelessly to create a program that welcomed girls of all backgrounds, abilities, big or small, young or older. Her vision helped break social barriers and encouraged girls to develop leadership skills, independence, and a sense of service to others.

Today, her legacy is reflected in the values Girl Scouts uphold-courage, confidence, and character. From earning badges to participating in community service and leadership roles, girls carry forward Juliette Gordon Low's belief that every girl has the power to make a difference. This has inspired not only girls, but the whole world. Because of her determination and vision, Girl Scouts remains a lasting movement that continues to inspire generations of girls to lead with kindness, strength, and purpose.
