Throughout the Girl Scout Cookie Program, being a leader to the people around you is essential. You can show leadership in a variety of ways. A few personal examples include taking responsibility, being willing to help your troop leader, and even pitching in with moving cookies from booth to booth.
Taking responsibility is one of the most effective ways to demonstrate leadership in the cookie program. You can achieve this by stepping up to make personal sales as well as booth sales. Leading by example is an adequate approach to encourage others to step up on their initiative in your sales is a great strategy to demonstrate to your peers.
Another important aspect of leadership through the cookie program is remaining willing to help your troop leader. To be a leader is to stay prepared to step in whenever necessary, and a great way to do that would be to help out your troop leader. You can do this by taking on small tasks, like showing up to meetings on time and following instructions said by your leader. You could also do this by volunteering for specialized roles such as "Cookie Counter", making sure each booth has the right amount of starting cookies, or "Booth Organizer", ensuring that each booth looks neat and approachable for customers.
