The summer of 2022 was one for the books! My Girl Scout Troop got the incredible opportunity to pack our bags and head to Central America to Costa Rica and see the beauty the country has to offer.
Thanks to EF Tours, we were able to see the many wonders and the Pura Vida spirit. We saw incredible natural beauty, like the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Arenal Volcano, and the La Fortuna Waterfalls.
However, the highlight of this journey was not this, or the ziplines, but those were amazing, too!
MEETING THE TROOP!
Along side traveling with two other Girl Scout troops, we had the special opportunity of meeting a local Costa Rican Girl Scout troop.
It was a truly heartwarming experience to see how they run their meetings and how they decided to bridge the gap between cultures for our visit. Despite the language barrier, we mixed Spanish and English introductions, since we're all similar int he way that we're all Girl Scouts.
We all introduced ourselves, shared a bunch of laughs, and played classic games that can be translated across any border, like "Duck, Duck, Goose!"
It provided to me that no matter where you live, the Girl Scout spirit is universal.
